1. Our Satisfaction Guarantee

At Thakiophim, your satisfaction is our top priority. We take pride in our craftsmanship and stand behind the quality of our work.

100% Satisfaction Guarantee
If you're not completely satisfied with our work, we'll make necessary adjustments or provide a refund according to our policy.
Craftsmanship Warranty
We offer a 30-day warranty on all of our tailoring work to ensure that our repairs and alterations hold up to regular use.
Complimentary Adjustments
We offer one complimentary adjustment within 14 days of service completion if the initial alterations don't meet your expectations.

2. Service-Specific Policies

2.1 Alterations and Tailoring

For garment alterations and tailoring services:

  • We offer one complimentary fitting adjustment within 14 days of service completion.
  • If you're not satisfied with the final fit after the complimentary adjustment, we'll either attempt another adjustment or provide a partial refund at our discretion.
  • Please note that some alterations are irreversible, which will be clearly communicated before work begins.

2.2 Repairs

For clothing repair services:

  • All repairs come with a 30-day warranty against defects in our workmanship.
  • If a repair fails within the warranty period under normal wear conditions, we will fix it at no additional charge.
  • The warranty does not cover damage due to accidents, improper care, or excessive wear after the repair.

2.3 Custom Tailoring

For custom tailoring projects:

  • Custom orders require a non-refundable deposit of 50% of the total cost.
  • We offer multiple fittings as part of the process to ensure your satisfaction.
  • If you're not satisfied with the final garment after all fitting adjustments, we may offer a partial refund of up to 40% of the remaining balance at our discretion.

2.4 Upcycling Services

For upcycling and garment transformation services:

  • Due to the transformative nature of upcycling, these services are generally non-refundable.
  • We will provide detailed sketches and consultations before beginning work to ensure your vision is clear.
  • Minor adjustments to the final product may be offered at our discretion.
Important Note
Before starting any service, we will clearly communicate what can and cannot be altered or repaired, and any limitations of the requested work. Any risks associated with the requested service will be explained in advance.

3. Cancellations and Rescheduling

3.1 Appointment Cancellations

For consultation and fitting appointments:

  • Cancellations made 24 hours or more before the scheduled appointment time will not incur any fees.
  • Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the scheduled appointment time may incur a £10 cancellation fee.
  • No-shows without notification may incur a £20 fee and may affect future booking privileges.

3.2 Service Cancellations

For cancellation of services after booking:

  • Cancellations made before work has begun will receive a full refund of any deposit, minus a £10 administration fee.
  • Cancellations made after work has begun but before completion will be charged for materials used and work completed, plus a £10 administration fee.
  • For custom orders, the 50% deposit is non-refundable after fabric has been cut or special materials have been ordered.

4. Return Procedure

If you're not satisfied with our services, please follow these steps:

Contact Us Promptly

Contact us within 7 days of receiving your completed garment. Explain the issue in detail and, if possible, provide photos of the problem areas.

Schedule an Inspection

Bring the garment back to our shop for an inspection. Our expert tailors will assess the issue and determine the best course of action.

Resolution Options

Based on our inspection, we will offer one of the following solutions:

  • Complimentary adjustment to address the issue
  • Redo the service at no additional charge
  • Partial or full refund according to our refund policy
Implementation

We will promptly implement the agreed-upon solution. For adjustments or redo work, we'll provide an estimated completion date.

Important
Please do not wash, wear, or alter the garment further before bringing it back for inspection, as this may void the return policy.

5. Refund Process

If a refund is deemed appropriate, the following process applies:

  • Refunds will be issued using the original payment method when possible.
  • Credit card refunds typically process within 3-5 business days, but may take longer depending on your bank.
  • Debit card and cash refunds can be processed immediately in-store or within 3-5 business days for remote transactions.
  • Bank transfers will be processed within 3-5 business days.

Partial refunds may be issued based on:

  • The extent to which the service can be reversed
  • Materials used that cannot be recovered
  • Time spent on the service
  • The nature of the dissatisfaction

6. Exceptions and Limitations

Our return and refund policy does not cover:

  • Damage resulting from improper care, accidents, or normal wear and tear after the service
  • Issues arising from customer-supplied materials that were of insufficient quality or quantity
  • Dissatisfaction due to aesthetic preferences when the work matches the agreed-upon specifications
  • Services where limitations were clearly communicated before work began
  • Claims made outside of the specified timeframes (7 days for general satisfaction, 30 days for craftsmanship warranty)
Special Considerations
We understand that certain garments may have sentimental or exceptional value. For heirloom pieces, wedding attire, or other high-value items, we recommend discussing specific concerns and return terms before service begins.
